Dr. Monica Wattana is a provider in the MD Anderson Emergency Center and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Professor Robert Bor is a chartered clinical, counselling and health psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. He is also a Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a UKCP registered family and couples therapist having specialised in systemic therapy at the Tavistock Clinic, London. Rob is an honorary civilian consultant to the Royal Air Force. He has published more than 30 books and 200 academic papers and chapters in books. He is a Liveryman of the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators and also holds the Freedom of the City of London. Professor Bor is a Churchill Fellow. Born in Madrid (Spain) in November, 3, 1967. He studied Medicine obtaining his tittle in 1991 in University Complutense of Madrid. Pediatrician from 1997 on. In last 25 years he has made research about different topics mainly depending on pediatric infectious disease and General Pediatrics. He has published over 30 papers in specialized Journals, most of them in Spanish review and 7 of them in international Journals as Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal or Journal of Inmunology. 20 of those writing as a first author. He´s also author of chapters in different spanis books in a number of 7. He has made different speechs as well in Congress, Meetings and other scientific pediatric events, usually in Spain Nowadays he does pediatric attendance at Hospital Infantil Universitario Niño Jesus at pediatric room, emergency pediatric department and teaching fellow in pediatrics. He also works as assistant professor of Pediatrics Department in University Autonoma of Madrid

Dr Jerald C. Sadoff is currently the Head of Early Development of the Crucell Vaccine Institute which is the Center of Excellence for Vaccine Development for Johnson & Johnson Companies Worldwide. Dr. Sadoff has spent his entire career developing vaccines against a large number of bacterial, viral and parasitic diseases, 11 of which have been licensed for human use and several currently are in Phase IIB and Phase III clinical trials. He currently serves on several IPCAVD Scientific Advisory Boards for NIH sponsored HIV vaccine efforts and is on the NIAID AIDS Vaccine Research Working Group. Over the last 35 years, he has authored over 350 articles, book chapters, and abstracts and has 18 issued patents

Michael B. Mathews received his BA and PhD degrees in Natural Sciences / Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge. After a year of voluntary service teaching in Kenya, he began his research career under the mentorship of Prof. Asher Korner in the universities of Cambridge and Sussex, England. His thesis was entitled ‘Viral RNA and Mammalian Protein Synthesis’. Dr. Mathews was a post-doctoral fellow in Dr. Fred Sanger’s department at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, and a Research Associate with Dr. Gordon Tomkins at the University of California–San Francisco. He moved to Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, New York, where he established a research group and held a series of positions over a period of more than twenty years. Dr. Mathews joined UMDNJ–New Jersey Medical School as Chair of the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology in 1996. He has received local, national and international grants and awards, served as journal editor and on numerous editorial boards and review panels, organized international symposia, and promoted several research initiatives at UMDNJ. He trains both students and post-doctoral fellows in his laboratory. He is an authority on protein synthesis and virus-host cell nteractions, and has published over 150 research articles, as well as scientific reviews and books. His current research focuses on HIV, RNA-binding proteins and regulatory RNAs.

The unit is researching volunteer donors of hematopoietic stem cells for the analysis of Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) molecules using techniques using multiparametric cytometry (Luminex) and NGS hybridization. She is also involved in the diagnosis of diseases associated with certain MHC genotypes and in particular ankylosing spondylitis , birdshot uveitis , narcolepsy and Abacavir intolerance .

Dr. Feng Gao is Professor of Medicine at Duke University. The Gao laboratory has a long-standing interest in elucidating the origins and evolution of human and simian inmmunodeficiency viruses (HIV and SIV), and in studying HIV/SIV gene function and pathogenic mechanisms from the evolutionary perspective. These studies have led to new strategies to better understand HIV origins, biology, pathogenesis and drug resistance, and to design new AIDS vaccines.
