Biography
Dr. Malone is an internationally recognized scientist and one of the original inventors of “DNA Vaccination.†(1989). He holds numerous patents in the fields of gene delivery, delivery formulations, and vaccines, has over fifty publications, has served as an invited speaker at over thirty conferences, has chaired numerous conferences and he has sat on numerous US Federal study sections. Dr. Malone initially trained in the laboratory of the NHP retroviral immunodeficiency virus pioneer Dr. Murray Gardner, and has been involved in LAV/HIV vaccine and antisense product development beginning in 1983 at UC Davis, UC San Diego/Salk, and Vical, Inc. His primary focus is in the areas of clinical trials, vaccines, gene therapy, biodefense, and immunology, with over twenty years of management and leadership experience in academia, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. His NGO, HHS, NIH, and DoD contract and grant knowledge is extensive, and he has helped many organizations capture and manage multi-million dollar grant and contract awards with these sponsors.

Biography
Li Yin (MD, PhD), Associate Scientist/Associate Program Direction in the Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Florida, College of Medicine, Gainesville, FL, USA. Research interest is to apply NextGen deep sequencing and bioinformatics to investigate [1] HIV-1 pathogenesis, including (a) intra-host population diversity and structure, latent reservoir, expression, and transmission; and (b) HIV-mediated T-cell activation and attrition, and reconstitution in response to antiretroviral therapy; [2] development, maturation and antigen response of immunoglobulin repertoires in health and immune deficiencies; [3] HPV prevalence, persistence and fluctuation in asymptomatic people, and in human cancers and papillomas.
